Exercise for new mums - babies welcome

MooiFit's newest INDOOR class is meant for new mums who want to (re)discover their physical strength. Gentle cardio at a level of fitness you are comfortable with right now.

Are you postpartum and do you feel ready for some movement again? 

During pregnancy and labour your body goes through a very challenging time. The composition of your body literally changes in 9 months and after the mammoth task of labour you will have noticed that you need time to heal first. 

But you might be at a stage after this healing process that you are ready to find some strength again. Ready to move your joints and strengthen your muscles so you can feel energised. 

BUT… you have a baby to think of… then this class is perfect for you!

In a very gentle way, we will be working on building up your cardiovascular stamina and muscular strength. No talk of ‘getting rid of the mum tum’ or ‘bouncing back’ but working with the ability you currently have. All whilst your baby stays with you during the class. 

Or if you find yourself with a childfree hour you are more than welcome to join too!

What you need to know

Terms and conditions

To join this class you have to be cleared for exercise by your GP at your 6-8 week appointment. Please check with your GP if you are worried about any physical limitations you might have before you engage in exercise postpartum.

What you need to bring

Make sure you are wearing comfortable exercise clothing, layers work best. Always bring a bottle of water and keep hydrated throughout the session.

Please bring your own exercise mat and a blanket for your little one to lie on if needed. There will be a foam area for your baby to lie on.

BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT: closest tube station is Northfields and the closest bus stops are the E2 and E3 on Northfield avenue.

BY CAR: The Community Hub is in the park and best accessible via the entrance on Windmill Road between house number 318 and 320. Enter 318 Windmill Road into your navigation.

There is free parking in the area between 10:00 and 15:00.
